HDRCGB Naseby Fields Rally - 31/05/2008

Harley Davidson Riders Club Great Britain met with Oliver Cromwell's, Roundheads at Market Harborough Rugby Club near to the historical Battlefield of Naseby and a great time was had by all.

Naseby is famous for being one of the great Battles between Kings Charles Loyalist supporters and the well drilled model army of the Parlimentarians in the English Civil War. The display given to HDRCGB Naseby Fields region and its guests by members of the Sealed Knot historical re-enactment group was fasinating and educational for all age groups. It was good to see two very different groups of enthusiasts swopping information and getting an understanding of why we each spend so much of our available time following our varied intrests.

This superb rally was well organised by the HDRCGB Naseby Fields region and what a great job they did, thanks to everyone for your hard work.
The weekend was all about having fun and making new friends, talking bikes and listening to various Rock bands whilst sampling some excellent real ales and it succeeded on all levels in my opinion. I thoroughly recommend it to all. Make sure you book early for next years rally, this is one you should not miss.
The custom Car and Motorcycle event was hotly contested with some outstanding entrants as you can see for yourself, the addition of the two Steamrollers, made this a uniquely "English event"
