Daytona Raceway Visit - 19/10/2007

At Octoberfest there is everything you could ever want to do and see. Today we visited the Daytona International Speedway where I got to ride some of the factory demo bikes available around the streets of Daytona.

The Harley stand was great, you can have as many 15 minute goes as you want on any bike you want just take your turn. They leave you alone to enjoy yourself apart from the demo bikes in the V Rod family. That was a fully escorted convoy, because they over here they consider them far too fast to let you loose on your own????
For me the new Fat Bob was by far the best new bike, a real winner and a certain best seller for Harley in 2008.

Later after compliants from my companions that I had had far too much fun on the bikes, (while they got burnt in the sun) it was time to check out some of the trade stands and then meet some of the custom bike builders we work with. After looking at some really amazing motorcycles including one that had a TV hidden inside the dummy fuel tank it was time to share a beer or two with the guys before we head back to the centre of town to start tonights partying.
Its simply another great day in Daytona beach.
